Your Experience | A Journey Built on Trust

You want to be fully present on your wedding day, not worried about the camera. My process is designed to make that happen.

From our first conversation to the moment you hold your photographs, here's how we'll work together to create something real, beautiful, and uniquely yours.

Phase 1: Connect | A Coffee, Not a Sales Pitch

---This is where we get to know each other.

Over a coffee in Glasgow—or a video call if you're further afield—we'll talk about what matters most to you. Your vision. Your worries about feeling awkward. The moments you're most looking forward to. The stories you want told.

I'll share how I work, answer every question honestly, and we'll both get a feel for whether we're the right fit. No pressure. Just a conversation between people who care about good stories.

"Chris was the perfect photographer for us and we only met him the morning of our elopement! He made us feel so relaxed with his kind nature and funny stories."

— Maggie & John | Intimate Highlands Elopement

What you'll leave with: Clarity, confidence, and the sense that you've got a real person—not just a vendor—on your side.

Phase 2: Plan | Your Day, Your Rules

This is where we build your "Never-Have List" and craft a timeline that prioritizes your experience.

Once you're booked, the real collaboration begins. We'll start with something most photographers don't offer: your Never-Have List.

This is the opposite of a shot list. It's about identifying what you don't want—the stiff lineups, the forced poses, the clichés that feel borrowed from someone else's wedding. By clearing that out, we create space for what's authentically, unapologetically you.

Then I'll craft a detailed timeline that fits your day perfectly. Want a 15-minute portrait session so you can get back to your guests? Done. Want to prioritize golden hour light? We'll build it in.

"He researched our venue ahead of time and made sure we got all the photos on our shot list. He turned the photos around so quickly too."

— Sarah-lou & James | Destination Wedding in Scotland

What you'll leave with: A clear plan, zero uncertainty, and the confidence that your photography will feel effortless.

Phase 3: Enjoy | Your Day, Guided & Unobtrusive

This is where you get to be a guest at your own wedding.

On the morning of your wedding, I arrive with one goal: to make sure you forget I'm there.

For the posed moments, I'll guide you gently—just enough to make you look your best, never enough to feel like you're performing. For everything else, I disappear. I watch. I wait. And I capture the real, unscripted moments as they happen: the shaky sigh before the vows, the unplanned laugh with your best friend, the quiet, stunned moment alone together after it all winds down.

Family photos? I'll wrangle everyone with a smile and get it done efficiently so you can get back to your party. No stress. No drama. Just photos that feel like you.

"Phenomenal photographer! Chris really makes you feel at ease and almost like he isn't there. The photos were beautiful and dramatic and really captured how we felt on our wedding day."

— Paul & Claire | Wedding at a Private Estate

What you'll experience: A supportive presence, an invisible observer, and the freedom to be fully present in every moment.

Phase 4: Relive | Heirlooms for the Generations

This is where your story becomes something you can hold.

Within 48 hours, you'll receive a curated sneak peek—a few images to relive the magic while the feeling is still fresh.

Within 8 weeks, your full gallery arrives. Every image is meticulously edited with an artist's eye for light, emotion, and narrative. You'll receive a private online gallery where you can download, share, and print to your heart's content.

And if you'd like to go further, we can design fine art albums or prints that transform your favorite moments into tangible heirlooms—the kind you'll pass down and your grandchildren will one day treasure.

"I can't believe how much I love our photos. I will have a hard time not printing 100 of them!"

— Sarah-lou & James

What you'll receive: A beautiful, emotional record of your day that will transport you back for decades to come.

What if we're really awkward in front of the camera?
